Hi, friends!
I am excited to share an upcoming virtual event we’re hosting to reflect on and celebrate the power of storytelling. So often, we’re too busy to slow down and consider the greatness of our stories and the stories of those around us. We forget about the little details that make a big impact and we neglect the parts of ourselves that thrive in creativity. Stories That Save Us has been designed to highlight oral histories, written works, and visual arts in a way that is enjoyable and interactive- you’ll get to create and share, too, if you want! This event is a time to prioritize you- listening, being heard, and connecting with our community.
Stories That Save Us got its name because with sharing our experiences we can be champions of change, protect others from hardship, illuminate injustice, and spread love and joy. Stories shape our world in big and small ways and, in our hardest moments, can give us hope for the future. Whether you are a natural storyteller, writer, or artist, or not, I hope you’ll join us for this exciting and inspiring exploration of stories and the revolutionary humans who tell them.
